Experiment with various levels of cushion firmness, see fabric swatches side by side and check the quality in person. Pair your new sofa with coffee and sidetables, a TV stand, accent chairs and of course an area rug to complete the room. 

SeCTIONAL AND SOFA BUYING GUIDE

Choosing the right couch is one of the biggest furniture decisions you'll make — it's where you spend the most time, and it sets the tone for your living room. Here's what to consider when shopping for a sofa or couch.

• Sofa vs. sectional vs. loveseat — A standard sofa seats 3 and works in most rooms. Sectionals are better for open-concept spaces or large families. Loveseats fit tight apartments and work as accent seating alongside a larger couch.
• Fabric matters — Families with kids and pets should look at our performance fabrics (stain-resistant, extra durable). All three of our manufacturers offer a wide selection of performance fabrics that can stand up to real life.
• Measure twice or maybe even three times — Bring your room dimensions. Including any odd angles or fire places we need to keep in mind so we can help find the right size and layout for your home. 
• Test it out — Sit how you would sit at home, do you like to sit upright, sprawl out, or get cozy in the corner, we recommend sitting for at least 5 minutes to make sure you like the seat depth and cushion firmness. Many of the models we carry offer multiple options for seat cushion fill and density.
