  • Kashan Design Rug TAN80005662 Pakistan

Kashan is located in the center of Iran and is one of its oldest cities. Kashan rugs have been crafted here since the 17th century, with many scholars believing that some of the smaller silk designs date back to the early 16th century. They are amongst the most beautiful and famous of all Persian rugs. Kashan rugs are typically high-quality. Most Iranian Kashans follow a medallion-and-corner pattern, sometimes referred to as the "book-cover" design. This classic design, like all hand knotted rugs, comes in a variety of qualities.
