Peshawar rugs are woven in northern Pakistan, very close to the Afghan border. Nearly all Afghan rugs are produced in Peshawar. That is, they are washed, clipped, stretched. Afghan weavers who have lived and worked in Pakistan for the last several years, however, are beginning to return home. It will clearly take some time to re-establish in Kabul what is up and running in Peshawar today. Production of Peshawar rugs is thus contemporary rather than historic. On the one hand, Peshawar rugs continue many rug making traditions of Central Asia. On the other, they also incorporate modern elements into classical motifs. Peshawar also produces good quality rugs in traditional Central Asian and Persian styles. Peshawar rugs are exclusive and are often distinguished by their exquisite use of 100% natural vegetable dyes & marvelous craftsmanship.

POLICY
All rug orders will be delivered via UPS Ground Shipping Or Federal Express at NO charge to you (in the contiguous United States excl. AK, HI). We will email tracking information to you when it becomes available.
For over-sized items (larger than 9'0 x 12'0) , alternative shipping methods might have to be arranged. In this case, an independent trucking company will contact you to arrange delivery of your rug(s) during business hours.
Free shipping and handling is not included with the purchase of products other than rugs.
Please contact us if you require a faster delivery method than Ground Shipping.
PROCESSING/TRANSIT TIME
Most of our products ship within 6 to 8 business days. That means that you should receive tracking information within 8 business days, but it can take up to two weeks for certain items. If an item is unexpectedly out of stock, we will contact you with an approximate restock date. Rugs that are oversized (larger than 9'0 x 12'0) are typically shipped freight and may take longer for delivery.
RETURNS
We do not accept returns for online rug orders.
Pads and samples are non-refundable.
DAMAGED ITEMS
If for any reason a rug is delivered damaged, please us the contact form and a representative will contact you asap. We stand by our products and return all damaged goods! Damaged goods must be reported within 15 days.
