NW Rugs & Fine Furniture is so thrilled to be participating in Molly's Fund Fighting Lupus interior design event "Serving Up Style" which opens October 2nd, 2014 at the Portland Home & Garden Show. This event features some of the most talented designers in the industry!
UPDATE: Molly's Fund announced on Monday October 6th that The 2014 Serving Up Style People's Choice Award goes to NW RUGS. We are so thrilled and honored and cannot express the full extent of our gratitude to all who made this event to benefit the Fight Against Lupus such a success. And, of course, we are especially grateful to our clients, designers, fans and followers for all their support.
Our designer for this event, Audrey Merwin, describes the design scheme this way:

"Our space is the scene for a Fika (pronounced Fee-ka) or a coffee break. A Fika is a part of daily life in Sweden, a time to pause during the day. It’s a time to relax in the company of others while indulging in sweet treats paired with coffee and tea. Something that we should all do daily!"

Oh, Drew!
No matter how many ways there are to say Thank You, there aren't enough to express how much gratitude we feel for our friends and fans, and all the support you have shown for us. Thank you!
Placing the correct size rug in your space is as important as choosing the right color or pattern. A rug that it is too small will shift the balance of the room unfavorably. A rug that is too big, especially in open floor plans, may put the area designations off. There are a few rules of thumb, but a picture says it better.
